♦️ INCIDENT REPORT ♦️ MMC for Public Safety Moshe Koma has strongly condemned the growing trend of suspicious building and warehouse fires across the city, warning that anyone found responsible for deliberately starting fires will face the full might of the law, including charges of arson. This follows a warehouse fire reported at approximately 02:00 this morning at the Amalgam Industrial Site in Langlaagte. City of Johannesburg EMS firefighters responded swiftly, preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding properties. The blaze destroyed a 2,000-square-metre warehouse, resulting in the collapse of exterior walls and the roof. No injuries were reported. The MMC commended EMS for their rapid response, while fire investigators continue to determine the cause of the incident.

Throughout the night, Vision Tactical’s specialised units assisted Fire Services and emergency responders as they battled a major building fire in Amalgam, Johannesburg. In the darkness, only the flames hinted at the scale of the disaster but as daylight reveal will the scene, the true extent of the destruction will be clear. With a structural collapses and extensive fire damage, major disruptions are expected in the area this morning.

A third suspect linked to the brutal murder of a couple in the Kruger National Park has been arrested in Zimbabwe following a multinational law enforcement operation. Vision Tactical members are on scene at the corner of 11th Avenue and 3rd Street, Houghton, following a serious incident involving a truck and a fallen tree. It is reported that the truck suffered a mechanical failure, causing it to collide with a large tree. Our units responded to a motor vehicle accident on Joe Slovo Drive that was causing significant traffic congestion and delays. A special thank you to the local residents who alerted us to the growing traffic backlog. Their quick action allowed us to deploy the necessary resources, manage the scene efficiently, and assist in restoring traffic flow as quickly as possible.

Thanks to the rapid response and teamwork of our members and @CityofJoburgEMS, the vehicle fire on the M1 South was brought under control quickly and safely. From the initial response and traffic management to scene safety and coordination with emergency services, all teams worked seamlessly to minimise disruption and restore normal traffic flow. A great example of professionalism, teamwork, and commitment from everyone involved.
