That's one hell of a defensive performance by Cape Verde. A shame that they weren't a bit more composed when they got it forward. They've got the pace & energy to cause issues on the break #ESPvCPV #FIFAWorldCup #FWC26

Got back to Vienna mid-afternoon & ready to fly home early in the morning. The trip has been wonderful & the result can't dampen the memories of the build up to the game & then the atmosphere inside a wonderful stadium. Looking forward to next season #UCL #PSGvAFC #Arsenal

Absolutely devastated. We contained PSG so well & while we could have done more with the ball they had so much energy & dealt well with our physicality. Penalties are a cruel way to lose & the result doesn't define our season. I'm so proud of the boys #UCL #PSGvAFC #Arsenal

Inside the stadium already & so excited for the game. The fan meeting point was lively & so is the concourse here. Arsenal fans bringing the noise. Time to make history. Come on you Gunners #UCL #PSGvAFC #Arsenal

Arrived in Vienna on a very early flight. It's a day for exploring here then I take a bus in the morning to get me to Budapest. Some sightseeing planned but the focus is of course to support the mighty Arsenal in the Champions League final.

Amazing vibes all day. The Floirin was fantastic for the game then I've partied down Holloway Road & eventually around the stadium in the crowds. A very memorable day thanks to the best club & supporters in the land #Arsenal

It's a great day to be an Arsenal fan. I've been soaking up the sun & atmosphere around Islington since midday. A win at Palace would be a great way to sign off the league season. Come on you Gunners #CPFCvAFC #Arsenal

MORE: Ukrainian forces appear to be regaining the tactical initiative in different sectors of the frontline in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces have conducted a series of counterattacks in different areas across the theater in recent months, having made their most significant gains on the battlefield since Ukraine’s incursion into Kursk Oblast in August 2024. Ukrainian counterattacks recaptured much of Kupyansk starting in November 2025, liberated over 400 square kilometers in southern Ukraine in winter and spring 2026, and most recently liberated several settlements in western Zaporizhia Oblast since late April 2026. Ukrainian counterattacks in southern Ukraine have created cascading operational and strategic effects against Russia’s ongoing Spring-Summer 2026 offensive against the Fortress Belt, which has forced Russia to choose between defending against Ukrainian counterattacks or allocating manpower and resources to priority sectors. Ukraine’s intensified mid-range strike campaign against Russian logistics, military equipment, and manpower since early 2026 has also degraded Russian forces’ ability to conduct offensive operations across the theater and has likely supported recent Ukrainian advances. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrskyi stated on May 15 in an exclusive interview with Ukrainian defense outlet Militarnyi that precise Ukrainian strikes, the destruction of Russian reserves, and constant pressure on Russian assault units have allowed Ukrainian forces to increasingly seize the tactical initiative and force Russian forces to react to a Ukrainian-defined operational tempo. Syrskyi did not provide absolute figures but noted that the number of Ukrainian offensive actions exceeded those of Russian forces as of May 14, which may indicate Ukraine contesting the initiative at the tactical level and engaging in more active counterattacks.

#Ebola: Fear as DR Congo outbreak spreads bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ceqp… via @BBCNews This deserves far greater prominence in mainstream news. After the awful 2014–2016 outbreak, the western world has a responsibility to step up with resources and prevent a repeat of the same scale.

A nervy night & no huge surprise that we played out a 1-0 win, it's just how things are this season. We are so close to the title & it could be a magical end to the league season #AFCvBFC #Arsenal

One final home game, let's make it a memorable one for all the right reasons. I really hope we score early then push on for more. We should aim to get our goal difference up. Interested to see how many minutes Havertz manages. Come on you Gunners #AFCvBFC #Arsenal

Reflections on today. I think there were between 50,000-60,000 on the Unite the Kingdom demo, way down on last September’s event. It also felt low energy. There was a buzz about September, probably because the size of it caught people by surprise. Expectations were higher now and the event didn’t really live up to it. The banning of 11 overseas speakers had a real impact on the demo. It distracted the organisers in the final week and the calibre of those who filled their spots were poor. Last September, Elon Musk both helped build the demo and spoke. His absence was noticeable this time. More worryingly for Stephen Lennon, his supporters are beginning to see through his money making exercise. He’s admitted to receiving $300,000 from two people for the demo, plus the hundreds of thousands he raised from supporters. On top of that were all the merchandise, bucket collections etc.. He will claim millions - but he will be lying. More importantly though, and unlike last September, we have stood up to his narrative of division and hate. Britain is a better place than Lennon portrays. He failed, we are stronger than him #HOPEnothate

Fantastic servant to the club & a quality, versatile footballer. I was occasionally frustrated by her temperament but always gave us 100% wherever she was asked to play #Arsenal
After a decade of representing the badge with honour, Katie McCabe will leave the club this summer. Our number 11 has won every title with Arsenal and leaves behind a legacy to be truly proud of. Thank you for everything, Katie ❤️
