I’m really pleased to share the publication of our collaborative study on Slamet volcano!
This work was the culmination of my PhD, and represents a big step forward in our understanding of Slamet’s melt storage and eruptive potential:

- Magma source interpreted to be from Svartsengi where it's been accumulating since 2020

Ongoing #eruption of #Ulawun #volcano (#PapuaNewGuinea) clearly detected amid tropical convection by the @JMA_kishou #Himawari8 SO₂ RGB product (yellow/orange = upper-level SO₂). Emissions continuing as of 15:40 UTC/Nov 20. Largest Ulawun eruption since 2019.
