visionOS 27 restores the Morning Light system environment. This one was nudged out of existence when the Jupiter environment launched. I'm glad to see it return. I used to use it to brighten my screenshots when working in the labs and examples on Step Into Vision.
ComputeGraph framework🌙
RCP 3 is very impressive, but ComputeGraph can also be used via API, allowing for programmatic manipulation of particles. API 👉 developer.apple.com/document…
Preview App as a File Converter / macOS 27.0 beta🌙
Since Apple has discontinued Reality Converter, we use the Preview app for file conversion. The Preview App in macOS 27.0 beta seems to work well for converting gltf to USDZ.
Spatial Preview in macOS 27/visionOS 27🌙
1. Start Remote Desktop on AVP
2. Preview USDZ with Preview App in macOS
3. Click Send to AVP button
4. Preview in visionOS will show the USDZ in 3d space

- You will likely need to rotate standard PLY data 180 degrees around the X-axis, to use it with RealityKit
- I did it with SuperSplat Editor : superspl.at/editor
I made it home safe and sound and even had time for a walk before sunset. I’m going to take the weekend to rest and reflect on my experiences at WWDC. I’m excited to get back to work, but I know I’ll do better work if I take some time first.

The ProjectiveTexture and Physical Space Lighting in RealityKit APIs in VisionOS 27 are super awesome. Mind is blown. I once created a dense tutorial to make this effect in shader graph and I am amazed how easy it is to do now without event touching shader graph. The Projective Texture can also be animated.
