Junta has killed 143 civilians since its “100-day peace offer.” Yet @ASEAN continues to engage with junta representatives while it continues to kill, displace, & impoverish communities. Accountability or complicity? #ASEAN cannot have both. Read more bit.ly/3QAas4E

“Misinformed hate should not be part of our Malaysian identity.” komas.org/stop-facilitating-… Powerful statement from Pusat KOMAS condemning the @Change petition against Rohingya refugees and calling for its removal. Malaysia needs rights-based refugee policy and not scapegoating, misinformation & mass xenophobia.

Only 2 donors have supported our campaign and we've raised just $50 of our $5,000 goal. More than 400 Rohingya girls need educational support to stay in school and build a better future. Please donate or RT to help us reach more people. chuffed.org/project/178754

This is not a home. It's a tarpaulin and bamboo shelter where Rohingya families struggle to survive. Overcrowding, insecurity and uncertainty remain our daily reality as we wait to return home with safety and dignity. #Rohingya #Refugees #HumanRights #CoxsBazar

Majority of those who are openly xenophobic and racist- calling for the “removal “ of Rohingya refugees are Muslims themselves. Whilst shedding fake tears for Palestinians and Bosnians thousands of miles away, the very same people call for removal of the Rohingyas, who are victims of genocide. They brand Rohingyas as dirty, greedy, violent - the very same type of justification used by the Zionists against Palestinians. Rohingyas have been massacred and chased away from their own country- they are stateless and been forced to flee for their lives for decades. But some Malaysians think it’s ok to attack them, dox them, deny them basic humanitarian help etc. It is hypocritical to forget that in a couple of weeks we will celebrate awal Muharram that marks Hijrah, the day the Prophet (PBUH) left Mecca and sought refuge in Madina - and at the same time there are these attacks upon muslim brethren who are not the “right type of refugees” and calls out for them to be chased away. Where will they go - into the sea or to be slaughtered in Myanmar? And yet this Madani government provides no moral leadership - in the midst of worsening hatred, online attacks and harassment against these desperate refugees. What will it take to end this bigotry? The bleached bones of dead Rohingyas flashed across our TV screens?
