Based on the (deserved) excitement around the GR Yaris, wonder if VW regret not building this? A prototype Polo R with AWD - essentially an Audi S1 underneath. Canned because nobody would apparently pay that much for ‘just a Polo’.

Had both a 7r and a 66 plate s3.. The golf was a better car in all aspects except the interior. If I had my time over, I’d have got the 7.5r after the 7, rather than the s3
