Check out the train arrivals for Civic Center Station (a half hour before ATL's first World Cup game). Trains are arriving every 2-4 minutes! It's a good reminder: if MARTA had more funding for operations, they could boost arrival times regularly. Also: the new MARTA app is nice!

The most eye-opening part of traveling is seeing how other countries have just as much traffic as the U.S. but don't turn their streets into excessively wide and fast highways that kill thousands of people every year.
Except for a few exceptions, the traffic engineering profession is resistant to change.

City Council approved funding to reconnect the neighborhoods with a new bridge at this same location. Design completion is occurring with @PATHFoundation to complete this year, permitting next, & construction in 2028 & 2029.

Taxing AI at a huge % is absolutely the right thing to do because AI has huge negative externalities that need to be corrected and AI use needs to be disincentivized
‘Taxing AI’ won’t protect our water or air. It will however give Dems a way to make it seem like they’re doing something about the outcries, without doing anything drastic.
