We held our monthly planning and review meeting to reflect on progress and strengthen our monitoring efforts. During the meeting, the team reviewed achievements, discussed challenges, and analyzed reports to track progress and identify gaps.
With support Plan International Kenya we trained our staff and volunteers on evidence-based advocacy, strengthening their capacity to identify community challenges, collect credible data, and use evidence to influence policy and decision-making in climate change.
We had a SACCO governance training attended by the County Cooperative Officer who guided members on leadership roles, financial accountability, regulatory compliance, record-keeping, and the importance of transparency in cooperative management.
We met with the Tuwajali Wajane team and developed concrete plans on how to boost women’s economic empowerment through the SACCO, while also strengthening the prevention of and response to gender-based violence (GBV). It was a fruitful and highly productive meeting.
We hosted mentors from Lamu County under the Lamu Ubuntu Mentorship Program for a benchmarking visit at Tuwajali Wajane Kwale SACCO. 🌿
The exchange focused on SACCO governance, women’s economic empowerment, and regional collaboration to strengthen financial inclusion for widows.
In Mivumoni, 3 widows’ groups are rising!
2 groups received start-up capital through the Jasiri Program, while 1 group got monthly support kits to boost their businesses. We’ll keep walking with widows until we restore their dignity and economic independence.
We recently held a training session for staff and volunteers on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills. The training focused on building the capacity of the team to effectively track activities, measure progress, assess and project impact. #untilwerestoretheirdignity
In partnership with Embassy of Sweden, CREAW has signed agreements with 7 Women’s Rights Organizations from Tharaka-Nithi, Narok, Nairobi, Meru, and Marsabit counties whose work focuses on advancing gender equality in various focus areas including; addressing GBV, promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and young Women in leadership.
With only 0.13% of official development Assistance (ODA) reaching WROs, this partnership is a game-changer. It localizes funding, strengthens feminist leadership, and supports Women-Led organizations closer to the problem to be closer to the solutions ensuring resources reach those driving change at the community level.
We are exited about this partnership; by-investing in local women led organization, we are growing a vibrant ecosystem and promoting sustainable change in our communities.

The democratic battle lines have today been drawn with clarity. Henceforth it will be the People of Kenya v the Oppressors of Kenyans. I chose to be with the People of Kenya under President David Kenani Maraga.
After celebrating the conman wanarudi kwa Nyumba za Mabati kawangware, wenye hawana fare watafoot, back to miserable life of surviving on one meal per day.
Change or perish
