There is this thing where everytime something bad happens Jews have to prove they are good or belong in a space. Guilty until proven innocent. Absolutely exhausted by it and just beyond caring what people think

Congrats Trump and Netanyahu. This is your baby

The basic premise of this piece is that reporting on campaigns is too predictive and not focused enough on actual voter reactions. It then engages in zero substance about him, but does lean heavily into what one voter thinks about how voters will react to his "mistakes"
“It has been so bad that it has made me question a lot of the coverage I’ve done of states that I don’t live in,” @rtraister said of much national coverage of the Maine Senate Democratic primary. (Another point for political reporters outside DC, too) cjr.org/feature/out-of-state…

After a decade of tying Israel's fortunes to Trump & eroding bipartisan support in Washington, Netanyahu neither shaped the Iran MOU nor reportedly saw it despite requesting access. Years of praise for Trump (even "Trump Heights") left Bibi empty-handed on his signature issue.

Just looked at some flights for a few months in the future... ElAl is charging almost 3 times the amount Etihad is charging. The punch line? ElAl is selling Etihad flights. So a 3x markup for the same flights

OK, Democrats: Hormuz, missiles, uranium, sanctions, whatever. The most politically toxic part of this Iran deal is the $300bn(!) reparations that Trump's agreed to pay Iran. That's not Obama giving them $1bn of their own cash back. It's $1000 for every American.

I haven't seen Israelis be this united on any single issue in my lifetime. I have yet to see a single tweet, comment, pundit, interview, statement or expression of any kind from anyone in real life or online that thinks the Iran deal is anything but a disaster.

The Trump administration has an easy way to disprove this claim. But they won't release the language they signed. But Trump's social media rants make it seem like this is correct, which is a horrifying thing
A last-minute addition to the Iran-US understanding says any war or military operation in Iran or against Iran’s regional allied groups, including Lebanon, would halt negotiations on a final agreement, IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team. “The important meaning of this development is that if war or any military operation, such as assassination and so on, takes place in Iran or the resistance front, including Lebanon, then under the memorandum of understanding, no negotiations for a final agreement will take place, and naturally the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, will be halted under Article 13,” Tasnim quoted the source as saying.

This is fantastic news. Firstly, because it upholds a right the government manifestly has. Members of this terrorist group infiltrated a military base and damaged aircraft. And secondly, it's going to make some of the worst people in this country absolutely furious.

This and the UN endorsing the deal is all the proof you need its a win for Iran
I welcome the agreement reached between the US and Iran, following sustained diplomatic efforts by several partners. The priority now is its swift and full implementation by all parties. This agreement should allow for the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Freedom of navigation must be restored toll-free. This is essential for regional stability and the global economy. It opens the door to broader negotiations on peace and security in the Middle East. And should end Iran’s nuclear and ballistic programmes and its destabilising activities in the region. And of course there can be no peace in the Middle East while Lebanon is in flames. Once again Europe calls on all parties to respect Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity and implement a genuine ceasefire. In Evian, G7 leaders will meet partners from the Gulf and the wider Middle East. Europe is ready to play its part. This crisis also carries a clear lesson. Once again, energy dependencies have been weaponised. We must diversify our supply routes and develop alternative export corridors to diversify away from the bottleneck of Hormuz. We will discuss this, and more, in Evian.

The worst part is the billions of dollars to strengthen the regime. The second worst part is Trump giving a greenlight for Iran to respond to attacks on Hezbollah with ballistic missiles aimed at civilians. Trump is saving Hezbollah
We were told the war was necessary to: • remove the ayatollahs and IRGC from power • get Iranians to rise up and take control • eliminate Iran's nuclear weapons capacity • end Iran's support for terror around the globe • create stability in the Middle East None of those things happened. None. Instead, Iran is getting billions. Its homicidal regime is intact, worse than ever before. It keeps its weapons-grade uranium. It gets to keep its proxy armies in Hamas and Hezbollah. It is getting de facto control of the Strait of Hormuz and has been transformed into regional superpower. This "deal" is a fiasco. Not just for Israel, but for the world. And it will take years to repair the damage.

This is substantially worse than the bad deal from Obama. Iran will end this calendar year stronger than they were before the war last June, with China rebuilding the military equipment and money to pay for more. With no restrictions on the nuclear program
Let’s see what’s in the MOU and whether there’s anything beyond reopening Hormuz in return for ending the blockade, but don’t hold your breath for anything to happen at the end of the 60 day negotiating window. This was Trump’s MO with Gaza, and the Iran agreement has the hallmarks of the same pattern: negotiate a first phase that ends hostilities and gets the obvious stuff out of the way, promise a phase two that has all of the actual thorny issues and that never emerges, and declare victory and that peace has come to the Middle East. I’ll be thrilled to be wrong, but my prediction is that the U.S. does not go back to war and also doesn’t get a deal that definitely ends the nuclear threat but rather downblends uranium that remains in Iran and gets some vague promises about future enrichment. Israel will have to swallow all of this, and concentrate all its efforts on the more immediate and proximate threat of Hezbollah, and tearing up the immunity card that it has just been given.

Kneecap’s manager Daniel’s back-up t-shirt to board a plane is Colonel Gaddafi 🤪 who the ICC issued arrest warrant for, after the unlawful killing of civilians. Gaddafi also enjoyed torture, arbitrary detention, and enforced disappearances of thousands. Pro-Gaddafi forces committed rapes and sexual assaults, including gang rapes, as part of the repression. Also a fan of cluster bombs, landmines, public executions and the recruitment of child soldiers. Fanboying a mass-murderer, whilst crying relentlessly about “Free Palestine”. Par for the course with this lot.

I appreciate the honesty personally. Lander made his bed with Jew haters. He chose them over his people at a time of unprecedented American antisemitism. Remember it when he lectures Jews on Jewish values.
This remains one of the most unhinged things ever admitted on the record by a candidate for public office. To the NYT no less. “I admit that I am trafficking in a deeply problematic lie. I know I am doing it, it makes me really uncomfortable, but I must do it to win. And so I will.” — Brad Lander
