I think Knicks fans have been engaging in a lot of histrionics about the officiating this series, but this game is objectively being called very poorly. Two missed goaltends in a row (both of which benefit San Antonio) is egregious.

If you had a forecast of gasoline peaking at around $4.65, and then declining 40cpg *while the Strait remained closed the entire time* then you need to open your hedge fund immediately if you're not already at one.
Today's $4.164/gal US average price from AAA is about 40cts/gal below the May peak, which could be approached again during the driving season. Next Sunday is the four-year anniversary of the all-time high water mark of $5.016/gal. Mostly sideways moves likely this week.

This is coming from a famous economist, so it's probably worth clarifying that there's no economics in this report showing that their degrowth pathway is either an ideal or likely decarbonization path. It's an opinion they work backwards from.

The key finding of the report is that energy transition alone will not suffice.
We need to combine it with "sufficiency" to stay within 2 degrees. This includes labour hour reductions, growth caps in rich countries, less material consumption, and changes in food habits.
