Uploading the first Chapter of Castration Movie to Youtube was mainly an experiment to see if anyone would watch it on there, especially since Joel Haver shouted out the movie and I wanted it to be extremely easy to find while staying on that platform. Not in the cards.

Overall, very grateful to the amazing community of Internet Filmmakers out there who have been doing revolutionary work for nearly 30 years online. I think it’s best not to centre Youtube in the conversations around the modern online filmmaking success stories.

when “Youtuber” is currently highlighted instead of “Internet Filmmaker” in the modern hit movie landscape these things might be a problem. its not a “filmmaker” platform i would recommend for building an audience. Uploading a movie to twitter is somehow more reliable lol

its so crazy you can’t view your appeals history when your account gets terminated. i don’t even know why beyond an email that links to their nudity guidelines, which none of the videos on the account violated.

like it truly does not matter for me since all my stuff was backed up but its like how does anyone still use youtube when your account can be taken down randomly, there is no appeals transparency, and you cant download the archive of work you uploaded?
