You know what I love the most about my literature classes? A teacher would randomly cite a couplet during the lecture and then I'd go home and read the entire poem.

People who have access to you have no idea how unreachable you are to everyone else, until they become everyone else.

pride has ruined more relationships than mistakes ever did. i don’t want perfection, i want someone who can communicate, apologize, and repair instead of turning every issue into a standoff.

thisβ€”this is the only closure I have.
Never regret the love you give. It returns to you in another time, in another person, in other circumstances, but it always comes back to you.

They don't actually want a "good woman." They want a convenient one, someone who gives everything and questions nothing.

I am 52 years old. I have been working since I was 15 years old. I have no savings, no retirement, and will never own a home before I die. And there is now a trillionaire.

there's something extremely wrong with people who stop treating you with the same love and care they used to before and then show up on a random day like nothing ever happened. if i say sth, they'd think i care enough. but the truth isβ€”i am an adult who's had enough of bullshit.

I think about this every day. In the Netherlands, if a person dies alone, without any family or friends as mourners, a poet will be sent to write a poem and read it at the burial service. It's called the Lonely Funeral Project, and it's just humans being good humans.
