#BREAKING After our victory in court, Albertsons is scrapping its attempt to create a grocery monopoly by merging with Kroger. You can’t be afraid to take on big fights. We will keep fighting for lower prices and more consumer choices.

Thinking about Joe Biden this morning and how his selfless act to put his country over his title is what started this entire ball rolling. The energy and excitement we are seeing is because of Harris and Walz but also because Biden chose this country. ❤️❤️❤️ Love you, Joe.

The first major decision a party nominee makes is their choice for Vice President. And Kamala Harris has made a great decision in choosing Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate. I've known Tim Walz for nearly two decades, first during his time in Congress and as Governor. A husband and father, he's been a school teacher and a high school football coach. He served for 24 years in the Army National Guard and became the highest ranking enlisted soldier to ever serve in Congress. As Governor, he's been a strong, principled, and effective leader. The Harris-Walz ticket will be a powerful voice for working people and America's great middle class. They will be the strongest defenders of our personal freedoms and our democracy. And they will ensure that America continues to lead the world and play its role as the indispensable nation. It's time for all Democrats—and indeed all Americans—committed to freedom, democracy, and American leadership in the world to rally behind the Harris-Walz ticket. Every generation of Americans faces a moment where they are asked to defend American democracy. That moment is now.

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

Folks, I might not walk as easily or talk as smoothly as I used to. I might not debate as well as I used to. But what I do know is how to tell the truth.

Under President Biden’s budget, no one earning less than $400,000 a year will pay a penny more in taxes. And the wealthy and big corporations will begin to pay their fair share.

New from @WAStateStandard- “Man in the middle: Ferguson tries to strike a balance on policing”  “Ferguson thinks he has an edge on public safety, pointing to his office’s work during the past 12 years on issues like combatting retail theft, clearing out the state’s rape test kit backlog, locking up sex offenders, and winning over a billion dollars in opioid industry legal settlements.”  I am the only candidate with a public safety plan. I look forward to a debate with Congressman Reichert on solving Washington’s serious public safety challenges. washingtonstatestandard.com/…
