#AbrahamLincoln was laid to rest in Springfield #OnThisDay in 1865. He was first placed in a temporary vault and then a permanent tomb was built. Today, the tomb is a shrine to his memory and all he accomplished in life.

Thank you to the staff of @HiltonWash, who acted quickly to freeze dry and donate the unserved steaks and lobster at the White House Correspondents' Dinner to nearby shelters in Fairfax, VA, and Calvert County MD. The rest of the unserved meals were composted and sent to nearby farms.
I started my career in publishing in DC, and it has remained a very special place to me.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is always a night I look forward to. I deeply admire the journalists, editors, correspondents, and leaders in that room — people I read, watch, follow, and have had the privilege to know and work alongside.
For more than 30 years, I have been championing high-quality, trusted journalism as a leader on the business side.
On what became an unexpected evening, I was proud to stand with my colleagues at @TIME, surrounded by friends and peers from across the industry. I am grateful for everyone’s safety.
I will never stop doing this work and I am proud to stand behind the journalists who show up every day with such dedication.❤️
