There is a simple way to help control children signing up for social media. Make signing up for social media, mobile phones & off the shelf email addresses such as gmail & yahoo subject to full KYC. If you cannot be positively ID’d as an adult your application is rejected. Easy.

Of course the horse has already left the stable but in time it will become effective, rather like the staggered ban on youngsters buying tobacco products. Using KYC would only make applications work with adult collusion or stolen credentials. Far more difficult & would help imo.

Just read in the Belfast court hearing just now that the accused had an Arabic interpreter. He has been here since 2023 and we should have a duty on us and expectation from legal immigrants that English is taught/learned. Just makes sense for the immigrant’s life quality.

Thoughts with everybody who has been victimised, terrified & vandalised in Belfast. Horrific scenes, unimaginable fear. Reminiscent of the Troubles I saw on the news regularly as I grew up in the 70s. Perpetrators both physical & online must be brought to justice.

Farage talks utter tripe yet again. When will the electorate cotton on that he is a conman & a chancer?
You voted against scrapping zero hour contracts. You voted against banning fire and rehire. You voted against day one sick pay for workers. You said the minimum wage was too high for young people. Reform politicians openly say they don't like trade unions. You will always put the interests of your offshore crypto billionaire donors ahead of workers.

Brilliant @annaturley Farage must answer these questions and explain why there are so many discrepancies in the explanations given by him and Reform UK Ltd spokespeople. The public are entitled to know the truth so they can make a clear judgement on Farage’s & Reform’s ethics.
Later this week it will have been 50 days since @Nigel_Farage last held a press conference. Given he's had so long to get his story straight, @annaturley is calling on Farage to answer 50 key questions about his secret £5 million "gift". It's time he finally came clean.

Excellent news - well done Wiltshire Council. All other councils need to do the same. šŸ‘ bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g8…

Great article about Erling Haaland. I went to his Norwegian home town of Byrne last year. The tiny stadium where he started his career has a tractor section so farmers can watch the match from their cab! bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

My short review of the brilliant Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall. @Itwitius hornbillpublishing.co.uk/202… The ā€˜golden’ picture is from my visit to Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave on the Baltic coast that has been vital to Russia since the break up of the USSR.

Staying down in the wonderful Ashdown Forest for a few days, setting for AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh books that he wrote for his son Christopher Robin centring on the boy’s toys. Visited Pooh Bridge & owl’s home yesterday. Q - where are the toys (bar the lost Roo) located now?

I received a plea for help from a resident who’s reported overhanging vegetation nr Wedgwood Way on Beulah Hill several times. Each time it’s marked as resolved by LoveCleanStreets except it isn’t. We have escalated the issue with the Council. @thomasbowell @Litter3Norbury

Interesting article about the popularity of traditional banquets held in France. Everything seems to get politicised nowadays. Not much different to Munich’s Oktoberfest or bierkellers that are popular here, if they are inclusive I don’t see the issue. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c78q…
