The elusive 3 point scale is still the most bonkers thing ever. There was a great session from Iowa at AACRAO SEM about the work they're doing trying to deal with this and grade inflation.

🧵Why can't colleges tell you what GPA they "require?"
A: Because grading scales are all over the map.
In last week have seen scales to 4, 13, 100, & 120. Some now go A-C, skip D & then F.
Recently saw a county make passing a 61, but also have students with averages of 105.

I cannot say enough good things about the Conference Planning Committee for #AMAHigherEd. It was a fantastic conference and the only negative is that I have to wait a year to do it again.
