After 3 amazing years @sheffjournalism ( NCTJ's), I'm actively looking for full-time roles in the industry across news, features, social media & football reporting. Here’s what I've been up to since 2020👇
Soon-to-be graduates 🔊🎓 I have freelance video producer shifts at @MetroUK going (most commonly Wed-Sat spots) for the next five months or so, at least. Paid, not work exp. It’s a fantastic opp to get your foot in the door of a National newsroom #journorequest
For those of you who follow me for health reporting, bear with me as I have a thread that's not on my usual topics. My daughter goes to King Edward VII School (KES) in Sheffield. It's an historic school, the last local authority secondary in the city and a true comprehensive.
TIPS FOR YOUR #NCTJ#EssentialJournalism exam (because I both needed and wanted ALL OF THEM last year)🧵⬇️
Disclaimer: I haven't seen a paper since I sat it, I'm just going off memory
New rules have been drawn up which would allow police forces not to name defendants when they are charged.
It’s hopelessly misguided, and should be scrapped immediately

Today we staged a mock court trial to give students an idea of some of the graphic content they might hear when they go to court. Thanks to all involved, especially our fab actors. #courtreporting#medialaw
@lisabjourno and @PollyRippon have been hard at work today - staging a potentially traumatic court case to help our trainee journalists build on their resilience training. Just one of many ways we're helping our students to practise self care in their future careers!
Fantastic work by our first year students at @sheffjournalism on their first news days this week. Take a look at some of their stories on sheflive.co.uk including a vigil to remember #BriannaGhey, protests at Sheffield's Clean Air Zone and the @S6Foodbank
