New experience with Windows tonight.
Historically, I don't believe I've ever had a Windows troubleshooter work.
But tonight, Windows offered to troubleshoot my broken webcam and, impressed by the new UI, I gave it a whirl.
Result: problem solved in four steps.

I still think that Microsoft would be best off spinning Windows off into two separate editions
a "legacy platform" that doesn't really receive new features and instead focuses on backwards compatibility for critical software, and a consumer edition prioritising user experience
