Running @watchtower150 for the last couple weeks. Now opening it up to more hardcore @solana DeFi users to help shape V1, in a small, limited-access devnet. This isn’t perps or casino yield – it’s a deliberately “boring” USDC-backed stablecoin, $IAUD, that we’ll use as the base layer for space infra credit. First X Spaces in the next few days walking through mint /redeem and earn rewards. x.com/i/spaces/1XxyggLpQDYGM…

Seeing all these orbital data center raises reminds me of when people were raising to be satellite platform/bus developers and space-based internet. In the end its all about launch and VCs should be focused on funding more space launch startups both inside and outside the US. We'd need at least another 13-15 companies with equivalent of reusable F9s and rapidly reusable Starships on the planet to have a viable commercial space & orbital economy. Otherwise, everyone competes for the same Incestual scraps from the DoD/W inside the US.

this is why you need non-diluting financing. VCs don't like this stuff. BO has bezos but most space companies don't have a bezos or a musk to finance them.

built this a couple years back. Something similar to space markets. had users and did about 50k/month for 2 months but no interest from VCs or investors. had to shut it down, unfortunately. Its good that the people behind space markets are being taken seriously when we weren't.
Space Markets, which emerged from stealth after being founded in December, is also announcing an investment from Coinbase Ventures for an undisclosed amount. The platform will be built on Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer-2 network. payloadspace.com/space-marke…

Interesting take here. Implies the case that both US and China are structurally, economically and institutionally weak but both dominate global demand and supply and are intertwined in it along with the rest of the world. youtube.com/watch?v=v8eQAyOp…

this was a really interesting @jjabrams produced show for the time (2013-14) that didn't get picked up. I feel like it was inspired by the Asimov Robot Series. With the advent of robotics AI, I think reviving or making a similar detective series would work.

The inference cycle is here > Token demand is going parabolic > 2x increase in token consumption every single quarter > Web2 inference players have more than doubled their rev in 3-6 months > Web3 players are carving out their moats on privacy, uncensored AI, and cutthroat inference pricing > Forecast: Web3 players hit $1B (~10% of inference API market) by 2028 More on today's article "The Inference API Market" 👇 [Link in bio]

Most ppl with a tonne of social capital in the US have never been outside of it. And immigrants in the US who have a tonne of social capital haven't been outside of the US and the town they emigrated from. I highly recommend living & working (not travelling) in at least 2 other culturally distinct countries apart from the one you came from. It helps with being a bit more open minded, empathetic & self-aware. Incredibly useful in whatever you choose to do in life.
Bill Maher never heard of Shenzhen lol

Solana manlets think RWA perps is the most critical market to win. That's wrong. The market for non-sovereign SoV is vastly more important. Long-term, RWA trading will gravitate to the chain where the dominant SoV asset is natively liquid and composed with across DeFi venues.
