ALT A PhD position (initially 3 years) is available in our laboratory in the Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP), at the University of Tübingen (Germany). The position is available starting November 2023.
Research
Our newly established research group studies mechanisms plants use to control the timing of cell fate transitions. In general, we are interested in plant development, cell identity, and pattern formation. For more background see Smit et al. 2023 Dev Cell.
Your profile
We are looking for a curiosity-driven, highly motivated candidate with good communication and teamwork skills who can work independently in a goal-oriented manner. The candidate should have an MSc or equivalent in plant biology or biochemistry (or similar) and training in molecular biology.

Exciting news: I'll start as Junior Group Leader at @ZMBP_Tuebingen in October.
We'll study plant cell identity and development. Particularly how plants control the timing of fate transitions.
