Realtors very happy to hear I have SpaceX stock but apparently haven’t heard of lockups. Anyway, my read from open houses today is the top end is about to pop off even bigger.

Mark is, of course, right.
i will say the mark memo hints at a level of existentialism that he/meta seems to be reckoning with which i think will just be fundamentally out of sync with where rank and file come from i.e. steward of employees vs steward of Meta the entity quote from mark memo, per sources

Hey remember when everyone was freaking out over the Biden administration threat to restrict frontier AI? LOL. LMAO, even.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

On the one hand, this sure doesn’t seem like a bubble if the consumer tech is being access restricted by the government. On the other hand, if they believe in their product/rhetoric they should probably start setting up citizenship verification.

I didn’t expect SpaceX to go public for at least another ten years. This is a good day, but I’m still bullish and still in it for the long term. $SPCX

In a lot of ways it is pretty fun to be a programmer right now. I can get a lot more done. In other ways it is sad to watch hard earned knowledge and skills become worth less and less. But, the profession always changes. This time is the same, but different.

Maybe I should just buy a vacation home and keep my apartment. Sheesh.
Sales to list price ratio for single family homes in Bay Area. Look at San Francisco in May.

Pretty much. I’ve been very bullish for a long time, and am invested already. Even for me this is pretty wild.

Tomorrow will be very interesting.
Retail investors bidding for shares in SpaceX’s initial public offering have submitted more than $100 billion in orders, sources say, as the potentially record-breaking debut enters the home stretch bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Okay what family office has $1B sitting around but couldn’t get access before now? Something outside of the US?
BlackRock has put in order to buy at least $5bil of SpaceX shares… Retail investors have requested over $70bil. A single family office put in request for $1 bil. This is wild. via @cdriebusch

One theory I’ve been floating is that the rush to go public is to get it done before Warren is back in power.

I benchmarked Apple's brand-new Core AI (WWDC'26) against MLX and CoreML for on-device LLMs on an iPhone 17 Pro. The results surprised me. Qwen3-0.6B Decode speed (tok/s): • Core AI (GPU, pipelined): 180 warm 🥇 • MLX (GPU): 115 • Core AI (ANE): 50 • CoreML-LLM (ANE): 39

SpaceX has just unveiled their next-generation Starlink terminals, which will be made in much higher volume than the current terminals. "Elon: We ultimately think there will be a few hundred million Starlink terminals out there." No info yet on specs/dimensions, but they look a little more rounded off.

SpaceX has just officially unveiled its AI1 satellite, the first generation of its AI satellite. Overall Specs: • 150 kW peak compute payload • 120 kW average compute payload • 70 kW per ton • Compute provider interchangeable Dimensions: • Wingspan: 70 meters • Deployed height: 20 meters Thermal System: • 110 m² deployable liquid radiator • Redundant pumping loops • Integrated micrometeoroid shielding • Deployable liquid radiators Solar Power System: • 150 kW solar array • 250 W/m² • SpaceX-manufactured solar technology from Bastrop, Texas Architecture: • Centralized compute module • Large deployable solar arrays • Deployable liquid-radiator thermal management system • AI-focused compute satellite design ("AI1 satellite") Elon: "The AI satellite is much simpler than a Starlink satellite. The AI satellite is essentially a lot of solar cells, you still need some laser links, but you don't have all of the super complex antennas that you have on a Starlink satellite. The easier one to design for is the AI satellite. It's bigger. A lot of this is technology we've already made with the Starlink V3 satellites."

In WWDC 2022, I published principles for deploying Transformers on the Apple Neural Engine. 4 years later, Apple turned those principles into instructions for agents, so on-device transformers are accessible to non-experts from Day 1. More bullish than ever for on-device to become the developer default.
