A woman discovered a large rat in her home and decided to find a street cat to help catch it. She brought the first stray she found up to her apartment and set it down in front of the rat, waiting to see what would happen next.

After I'm gone from this life to my life in heaven, please stop anyone from adding angel wings to photos of me. I'm not becoming an angel when I die. Thanks ahead of time.

Cross country skiing: born out of necessity. You have to travel across snow. Downhill skiing: probably born out of necessity. You have to travel down the mountain. I’m pretty sure all other winter Olympic sports were born out of a dare. Maybe even a double dog dare.

The person who figures out a great way to repurpose filing cabinets will help out those of us who are downsizing.

I know social media is waiting on my opinion on the Super Bowl halftime show. I only watched the game itself--my first NFL game watch of this season. I did like that there was an alternative show. More choices are better so maybe next year there will be more options. That's it.:)

Voter ID is a sensible way to insure voters are eligible to cast a ballot. You need one to pick up kids from school, buy a bus ticket, go to the doctor, make a big purchase, prove your age, or just to show who you are. If someone doesn't have one, it can happen with a little help

It took me years to learn how to pronounce rendezvous. I read it many times before figuring it out.
My late cousin, who I adored and miss every day, once said to me: Never make fun of someone for mispronouncing a word. It means they learned it by reading.

Glad to be home with shopping and errands finished. People are driving crazy out there. Everyone slow down and focus on getting to your destination safely. And, don’t drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Merry Christmas!

Not weighing in on the college football playoff/bowl game situation. There are already too many words and too many minutes of time spent on that. I'm just going to watch the games and cheer for my team.

At home watching Ohio State vs Michigan—has to get a blanket—watching that snow made me cold.

I'm sick of those people who knock on your door and tell you how you need to be "saved" or you'll "burn." Stupid firefighters.

Home from Thanksgiving food shopping. Had to ask two employees for help either finding items or to bring more stock out. Every aisle was full of people, all with lists of items they don't usually purchase. It was crazy town. Glad to be home for the duration. Shout out to @Publix

So it's Thanksgiving week--got the floors cleaned and watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Let the holiday season begin.

"At the private school where I once taught, the idea was that spelling got in the way of creativity. So I watched as kids wrote ‘macien’ for ‘machine’ at age 14. Tuition was $60,000 a year." Must-read for all parents by @danlermanman in @thefp: thefp.com/p/the-war-on-knowl…

Big, brown, crunchy June bugs don't bite--but I did drop my phone when one jumped on me. Screen protector bit the dust.

Sitting on my screen porch this morning listening to and watching the birds. Then a shot rang out. Now I only hear lawn equipment.
