In a first-ever exclusive interview with Israeli TV (Channel 14), Argentine President Javier Milei (
@JMilei) told Libby Alon (
@libby_alon) why he stands firmly with Israel, calling it the āfortress of the Westā and a protector of Judeo-Christian values.
Milei slammed the "cowardice" of the international community for failing to confront the threat of Iran, noting that Argentina itself has been a victim of their terror bombings:
š¬ āThe international community is cowardly... they are afraid. What they don't understand is that fear only strengthens the enemy.ā
President Milei also expressed his deep personal friendship and professional admiration for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Donald Trump:
š¬ āI feel like I am a personal friend of Bibi... the whole Western world should be grateful that he is Prime Minister. Both [Netanyahu and Trump] are exceptional leadersā.
And finally, President Milei reflected on the deep personal meaning of his upcoming visit to Israel to light a torch and receive the Presidential Medal of Honor:
š¬ āThis journey is going to be very moving... to carry a torch representing one of the 12 tribes... I find myself faced with all this outpouring of appreciation, meeting many Jews around the world who thank me, and I tell them- I am only doing what is right.ā
