This is literally the problem. When you’re bringing in outside IPs you’re going to,before the set is even out, alienate a percentage of your audience. The argument that “Well people are more forgiving of things that they already like” is not exactly a groundbreaking observation

I’m not a content creator so you can believe me when I tell you these aren’t good sets. They cheapen the identity of the brand and the art looks jarring when compared to 30 literal years of the best fantasy art in the world.

I mean this is it, right? I get that UB onboards people (in theory) but at risk of sounding like an asshole the people I enjoy playing with most couldn’t be less interested in the Marvel sets specifically. Even the UB lovers at my shop/in my pod are extremely unenthused.
struggling to find the right way to express it but there's a very obvious break between creators trying their best to drum up hype for the marvel set (their job) and just being met with complete & overwhelming apathy

I don't even think it's UB hate for this set Marvel is just so boring after 20 years of being everywhere and post covid MCU has had one of the greatest falloffs of all time.

yeah? my deck was built with whimsy out of cards with stories, when I draw a hand I am filled with the euphoria of memory.
Bought a few og kamigawa packs a few months ago (bad financial decision, but I wanted to pull a few cool cards myself) and these little fellas were in one of those packs. Needless to say I immediately fell in love with them. Gonna jam them in random decks so they can guide me.
