v0.5.18 of three-mesh-bvh has been released! It includes a GPU closestPointToPoint function which can be used to generate SDFs & more!
The attached image shows layers of a 3d volume texture with signed distances to a mesh.

Just had a coworker demonstrate that I have chromostereopsis - I experience different colors as having different depths in a scene due to their optical paths through my eyes.
Fun times ahead for #Adobe designers. Today, if you open a PSD (even one that's 20 years old) with an obscure PANTONE colour, it will remove the colour and make it black. Pantone want US$21/month for access, and Solid Coated goes behind the paywall in early November.

Following my trend of publishing small web apps that only do one useful thing in modelling or #3dprint in #threejs, here is SurfaceExtruder. It extrudes a STL surface or solid with a given width, but it stops growing just before it self-intersects. (1/2)

Made a little experiment with #ammo in #Threejs with vehicles. There are 3 scenes, the live links are in the README at github:

Scene is loaded from GLTF and object instances are added, described with json of vehicles and object classes.
Experimenting with #ammojs - GImpact concave bodies used for the chain, convex hulls made with SimplifyModifier and #threejs's QuickHull for efficient mesh proxy geometry, and of course, a wonderful BVH-powered sponza environment.
All in an afternoon.
