Ok, this is new for me: I was looking at the open peer review file of a published paper - for which I wasn't involved at all in the review process - and I noticed that some comments of one reviewer are identical, and I mean word-by-word, to my own comments to a previous version of the same manuscript for another journal (which was ultimately rejected) 😲. Only some points are identical though, not the entire review, which makes it unlikely that this is a case of manuscript transfer between journals. What's going on here? 🤨 #review #academia #reviewer2 @GrumpyReviewer2

Happy Sunday eggficionados! Here comes another spectacular issue of #cebooc! In Drosophila, neighboring cells squeeze their cytoplasm into the developing oocyte, contributing to its growth. Now this fundamental paper by the Kitajima group reveals that this mechanism is not conserved in mammals: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4201… Read the full issue here: biomed.news/bims-cebooc/2026… Powered by @Bims_BiomedNews
