Best way to simulate real pressure on the range. Bring your kid(s) and about 5 or 6 times during your session have them “watch this shot”. Your “coolest dad in the world” status is at risk each time.

Hale Irwin is the foil in so many of these old golf videos. He just pops up all the time as he was always in the thick of it during this period even if it seems like he never wins (he won a lot). Hell of a player.

Shinnecock is the preeminent venue for the US Open and I couldn’t be more excited for a golf tournament. I think it presents the best of both worlds - extreme difficulty while allowing skill to outshine luck by virtue of its architecture. It’s the very best we have.

A nice thing about playing 6am golf is everyone playing at that hour really loves golf and plays ready golf and keeps/sets a fast pace. No one is playing golf at 6am because they have all day. You’re out there at 6am for a reason.
