After a gruelling last few days, with a rollercoaster of emotions, itโs finally done and I have just submitted my thesis. Honestly, a big thank you to @MelanieJBishop for her support leading up to this momentous occasion. Could not have done it without her.
๐ข Are you a marine restoration practitioner?
Our seascape restoration survey will be closing soon, but we'd LOVE to get some more responses from restoration practitioners.โก๏ธlnkd.in/gBwnXvij

Installing and downloading data from Envloggers, created by @ElectricBlueCRL, to investigate temperature within patches of several habitat-forming species
Four days, three sites, battling rain, wind, swell and sun, many temperature loggers and many, many sample bags later, the Central Coast sampling has ended
Could not have done it without an amazing team: Melanie, Nina, Sigrid, Amy, Brendan and Seb. Thank you all!

What an awesome end to #AMSA2023 last night. Met some amazing fellow researchers throughout the week, got to present my Masters research, and have some fun on the Gold Coast; an amazing start to my PhD journey! Hope to see everyone again in Hobart

Excited to be at @AMSAconf this year, talking about my research on the effects of substrate brightness and habitat complexity on intertidal biodiversity! Lovely meeting some of you tonight, and looking forward to meeting many more throughout this week

Happy #WorldOceanDay! We are passionate about supporting sustainable human-ocean relationships. One of the ways we do this is by fostering the next generation of marine scientists.
Since 2018 we have hosted 22 student interns from ๐ช๐ธ๐ซ๐ท๐บ๐ธ๐ต๐ช๐ฎ๐ช๐ฆ๐บ who all love our oceans ๐
Today marks the final fieldwork day of monitoring my Masters project. The entire journey has been incredible, and it was a little bittersweet knowing that I may not return to these sites for a while. But the journey continues into my PhD, where more adventures and learning await!
End of year lunch with the lab group. So much to celebrate, especially friendships and commaraderie. It has been a pleasure to work with you all (and our missing friends Minin, Holly and Simona) this year. Hear's to an even bigger 2023. @mqnatsci
Final MRes Year 2 seminar all done! Got to present some of my results looking at the effects of substrate brightness and habitat complexity on intertidal communities. Time for that final stretch to the thesis finish line! @mqnatsci
