And to the young people still reading: there are REALLY GOOD PEOPLE in academia who have risen to leadership positions despite all this nonsense. Change is hard but itβs possible. Never stop demanding change.

Once again, I'm amazed at how utterly brilliant #NHS is. I had a bad bike accident and am awaiting surgery on my face. Everyone I've seen has been professional, friendly and highly capable.

Just testing out a new telescope and camera for @LCO_global, with this image of Andromeda Galaxy, including M32 and M110. So far pretty impressed.

If your kids have a someone at school who gets angry very quickly, please *do not* approach them in the playground to tell them they are naughty. This could trigger a crisis moment for that child. A moment of thoughtlessness could set them back weeks.

I'm not an expert and I don't always get it right. It can be so hard to be strong for little people, but they will love you even more for it & gradually they will cope better #AdoptionWeek
