I'd just dropped my daughter off at nursery for her first afternoon - so already feeling pretty emotional - when I read I'd won this award. Mega chuffed, especially since the other stories in the anthology ('Houses Borders Ghosts') are so good. Check them out!

What was it like to run a Perfect Dark fan site in 1999? It's the niche videogame nostalgia question you've all been asking yourself... @N64Memories @N64Today @n64thstreetgifs @gamesyouloved zephauerbach.com/2020/07/07/…

@OldWulf @stevemalpass I got inspired by that great Eurogamer piece on Perfect Dark and am revisiting those days. We ran a fansite called PDark.com and I'm just writing an article on what gaming fansites were like at that time...

...We interviewed both of you at ECTS 2000 (I think!). We were 16! Wonder if you have any memories of fansites, if you remember PDark.com itself (probably not!), and any views on their role in the gaming ecosystem back then? Would be v grateful for any reply or DM.

[Not Vonnegut] Imagine that on one day every year you could meet up with a dozen versions of yourself from close parallel worlds. What would you ask them? What would you do with them?.. 1/4
