My bold PAC 12 expansion prediction
They are going to add Tulane and Rice and one more school.
1) They are both in big cities for tv negotiations.
2) academics will matter if the acc implodes and they go to recruit.
3) It doesn't hurt they are near each other and have baseball

This would provide 3 schools with baseball for OSU and the auto bid process there. It would make for easy ish travel. And would add in 3 really good markets and 3 pretty good football schools.
Now if the goal is to over take the big 12 someday and model ourselves after them...

If the goal is to scoop up acc teams when Clemson/FSU bolt. Then I would probably target east teams like Memphis, Tulane and still Texas with utsa. This would make you the top group of 5 or whatever since youd take the best aac and you'd have the merge option with the acc later

Non baseball post. My thoughts on who the PAC 12 should target in expansion
If the goal is to bet on regional football. I'd work hard at getting unlv decoupled from unr. I'd target Texas state since the buy out and timeline make sense and I'd only take utsa from the aac.

Pac 12 jumps to first in line on the collegiate TV deal front. For a number of reasons their games will be of value to outlets. ESPN might want more west coast games for launch of DTC product. TNT needs content. FOX and CBS split the current MWC package. Let the dance begin.
