My kid isn't going to get cyber-bullied because of (1) and if they get bullied in person then (2) will fix that

Cardano governance looks chaotic from the outside.
And yes, it is uncomfortable.
People argue.
DReps burn out.
Projects ask for funding.
The community tests its limits.
But that is the cost of real decentralization.
Personally, this is the Cardano I want.
Not perfect.
Not polished.
Not controlled behind closed doors.
On centralized chains, the drama is harder to see.
Not because it doesn’t exist.
Because decisions are made where the community cannot watch.

Dropping by to let everyone know that I spoke with @phillip_pon and we are working out a plan to create a discord for a great migration of the Cardano community from X. We can have happy, positive, well-moderated channels and leave behind the drama, lies, endless rage, and embittered people for a place where real conversations and real progress can be made.
I will continue broadcasting live streams to X as I have a million followers here, but will only take AMA questions from the new Cardano and current Midnight discords. I've seen some commentary that broadcasting means I'm back on X. For those people, I can't solve stupid.
Enjoy your scandals of the week and FUD. Real work is done elsewhere. Looking forward to Cardano ascending to better days, governance, and culture.

Discord is going to further increase scams where community members are being impersonated and exploited, I've already had messages about accounts impersonating myself. I can't see the community committing to a Discord in all honesty.

I don't think the Discord is a one way move.
I just think it's a shielded space for coordination and discussion that can be directly moderated for sake of quality.
We hash things out in VC, wash dirty laundry and then bring news to X when relevant.
It's just more focused.

Going to hide behind Charles moderation skirts is not the answer. This is crypto. Be your own bank. Not your keys, not your crypto. When did we shift responsibility from self-moderation and control to asking Daddy to take care of it for us? Don't like the troll accounts? Block them and move on with your day.
Every discord/forum/controlled point of conversation is littered with people who got banned/silenced/booted or otherwise moderated as soon as they said something that the moderation team found unacceptable.
Shouldn't it be on us to decide which voices and channels we listen to or silence/mute?
If moving to discord is the right place for Charles to interact because he needs that safe space for himself. Great. It's disingenuous to suggest that will be/is the "home" of the Cardano community and is the only place that "governance" and other discussions are allowed to happen under the threat of moderation.
The Cardano community exists across the spectrum; there are already hundreds of Discords, Telegram, WhatsApp, Forums, YouTube, local and regional channels where people choose where to go to find and discuss information relative to Cardano.

#ADA is clearly changing hands as a part of the ecosystem dies.
May the toxicity leave X, the non-sense die with it.
The token has no political view on the current situation, it moves carrying its value.
I didn’t sell my ADA because I think it will outlive the storm and like good wine, become better by simply having been around for a long time.
All the proposals (more marketing, more of this, less of that, etc) are in my view useless. The added value of crypto assets is precisely to do nothing when the rest of the world does too much. It’s the value proposition of #Bitcoin.
Time is the master and SPOs are running the clock.

#Cardano isn't the only one with leadership issues
If you think a dedicated discord due toxicity on X is the problem you're in for a suprise.
Top-down dictatorship isn't sustainable long term.
But it's not just a Cardano problem 😎

I've supported Solana for years.
Through outages.
Through FTX.
Through periods when most people had already written it off.
I even bought the Solana phone.
So this isn't coming from a hater.
It's coming from a supporter.
Recently, a respectful criticism of mine directed at Toly was removed from public discussion.
No insults.
No personal attacks.
No abuse.
Just disagreement.
Then I noticed comments restricted across multiple posts.
That was enough for me.
One of my core beliefs is simple:
If you're willing to express strong political and social opinions publicly, you should be willing to hear respectful disagreement publicly.
Communities grow through discussion.
Ideas improve through criticism.
Leaders earn respect by handling both.
My issue isn't with Solana.
My issue is with Toly's behaviour.
Deleting or hiding criticism from long-time supporters while expressing controversial opinions sends a message.
And it's not one I can support.
I can no longer support this sort of behaviour because it stands against everything I believe in.
I've said what I needed to say.
Chapter closed.
Back to gaming. 🎮

I invested in Cardano years ago because of its commitment to decentralization.
Now I'm being told that X — arguably the most open and decentralized social platform in existence — is "toxic" because there are too many voices and too many opinions.
The obvious question is:
If the solution is to move governance discussions to Discord, with moderators, bans, and a smaller group deciding what belongs in the conversation and what doesn't... aren't we moving toward the very model Cardano was supposed to challenge?
Many of us joined Cardano because it wasn't Ethereum. It wasn't Solana. It wasn't an ecosystem where a handful of people could shape the narrative and direction.
Decentralization isn't supposed to be comfortable.
It's messy.
It's noisy.
It's inefficient.
And sometimes it's frustrating.
But that was the trade-off we willingly accepted to avoid centralized control.
My concern isn't Discord itself.
My concern is that, in the name of efficiency, Cardano may end up sacrificing the very principle that attracted so many of us in the first place.
Because if Cardano starts operating like every other ecosystem...
What exactly makes it different anymore?

You think X messaging doesn’t matter? You can go to discord, you can go to WhatsApp, you can hide in a cave. None of that will matter unless you fix the external perception of Cardano at this point.
Hope you realize the more you fail to take control of the narrative and the people you are continually letting down, the worse and worse the narrative is going to be.
Saw holders reaching out I never even knew existed sharing similar sentiment.

I put my entire life into Cardano. My time, my expertise, my savings. I’ve literally gone all in, and for over 5 years now.
No salary for 3 years, along with my co founder, and every payroll was paid on time. This isn’t meant as a guilt trip just context towards my reality.
I forced my cofounders to envelope the ‘entrepreneur mindset’ and make sacrifices to make our vision of Anvil work.
I thought we were in good company in Cardano. A bunch of scrappy, smart people who are building the future financial rails of the world. Unfortunately, not everyone was living like starving entrepreneurs and looted our community/treasury while keeping cushy salaries. Now the price is in the teens…and we can’t even get contracts on Cardano to sustain our business, with no indication that change is coming, all community business proposals are not passing atm.
I gave up my 30s for this. I had a great career trajectory making solid money. I don’t regret the decision I just wish it went different. Believe it or not, we didn’t make many stupid decisions, we were responsible with salaries, and ran very lean operations. Did we fail? Or did Cardano fail to flourish and create real opportunity?
I bought Ada, I believed in the token. I dropped my 401k on it. Held it religiously for 5 years, all to sell at .16 so I don’t lose my house? It’s insane lol was I supposed to sell on everyone’s heads? I thought being a believer was the whole point now I just feel like a sheep. I don’t even have the 100k Ada required anymore to go straight to the treasury. The only thing I can think of that hurt worse were my kidney stones. This is the most defeated I have felt in a long time.
And now I’m watching 8 months of hard work and relationship building get thrown away. Can’t get a hold of half the DReps otherwise you come off as annoying. Didn’t do a Japan tour? Good luck!
I had to waste 6 days explaining to one of our top DReps why the product needs Cardano. He basically said we didn’t need to use blockchain or cardano. Instead of explaining the value we create I gotta convince our top DReps why a project chose to build on Cardano? 🤯
Im not perfect but I damn sure tried to be! Answered everyone promptly, reached out to DReps, and did our best to listen/apply feedback. I show up everyday.
Can someone explain to me why I should keep trying to build here? I’ve legit lost everything but my wife who isn’t getting any happier with me.
Today is the first day I work towards getting my life back. IDK exactly what that means but I’m done feeling like this for nothing.

This is a difficult one.
No funding for @eternlwallet means the team will need around 5,000 users to purchase PRO subscriptions to sustain development for another year.
If that support doesn’t materialise, the wallet won’t disappear, but development will be scaled back, and Eternl will enter maintenance mode until better times.
Eternl reportedly has around 130,000 installations across browsers, iOS and Android. It remains one of Cardano’s most widely used wallets, yet its future development is now uncertain.
The irony isn’t lost on me.
I reluctantly abstained from their funding proposal while using Eternl to submit the vote.
Many of you support my YT channel by buying me a coffee.

As a chain agnostic crypto user I don't view UI/UX, liquidity, volume and variety of dApps as a problem fixed by marketing and content creators. Cardano needs to improve on those things so marketing and content creators have something to market and create content about.
