The Truth Nobody's Saying About Raising in the New Market Cycle Spoiler: Most founders are building projects, not businesses. Our founder, Michael Harding @1MrHarding doesn't do conventional. For the last two years, he'd been the voice in the room saying what everyone's thinking but nobody says out loud. And at @conv3rgence London 2026, he took the stage at the historic Mansion House to push back—hard—on the myths holding founders back from real capital. The Reality Check He Shared Here's what we've learned educating UHNWs, family offices, and corporations: There's a difference between blockchain and crypto. Like soccer and American football. They look similar on the surface, but the rules, strategy, and outcomes are nowhere near the same. Most founders are confusing the two, and it's costing them. If your business has no clear path to revenue generation or scaling, it's not a startup. It's a project. And VCs need to stop funding meta ideas and get back to basics: revenue-generating businesses that add real value and can actually get acquired. Tokens are dead weight. They don't just fail, they actively kill your reputation and your next funding round. You're essentially weaponising your own pitch. Raising capital in 2026 isn't about chasing trends. It's about building something real.

Network School - worth it or not? In March 2025 I went to @balajis Network School (@ns). First thing you need to know before going there {especially as a founder} is why it’s special. For the price you pay you get everything covered: • living • cleaning • food (based on @bryan_johnson) • facilities (gym, ice bath, sauna, co working, content room etc.) • workshops (10-20 weekly on crypto, robotics, AI etc.) So you don’t spend time on typical stuff that distracts you, and it saves you a LOT of time that you can spend on: ~ networking ~ education ~ leveling up your startup ~ wellness sport Minimum time you can stay is 1 month, but because of the benefits I mentioned, this 1 month can generate more outcomes than 3 months of normal life. For me, everything I was getting there was a must-have, so my plan to stay for just 1 month turned into 2 months. During that time, together with @taras_13, @cryptokitty3x and @venture_launch, we also contributed to the life of NS residents. We hosted: ~ CUDIS Wellness Event ~ Solana Journey Event ~ Introduction Circle ~ Solana workshop ~ Solana Pong Personal things that I am proud of: • 55 days of workouts • 4 new books • 13 min in plank (won 2 monthly completions) • won 2 poker tournaments One more important thing is that you can come up with new ideas for your startup and get valuable feedback from crypto people and experts in the space. During my stay at NS we launched the beta of @NOMADZxyz and got strong feedback from early testers on site, which directly helped shape our next product iterations. And the most important, I built relationships with Chris and Viktor who became my friends.
