Pitchers need aerobic capacity. It's a real foundation for recovery between pitches, innings, and outings. Running poles isn't a great way to build it though, and the "mental toughness" thing is overdone.

Lyons won the High School homerun derby that was put on by the Valley Baseball League during the 2024 All-Star game festivities. In his time at Woodgrove, Patrick was a 3x all-district Outfielder.
