Both Ira Mellman and Vishva Dixit published extensively in top journals, but it is unclear to what extent their most influential discoveries were translated into successful therapeutic applications. #science #immunology #biotech

What kind of loophole is that? Any journal should allow authors to deposit accepted manuscripts in PubMed Central immediately upon acceptance. If that were the norm, it would not matter whether the final formatted version in a prestigious journal was placed behind a paywall. @NIH

This book is a major disappointment. It starts strong with intriguing ideas, Prague’s charm and Czech quirks, but soon turns implausible. The CIA plot is absurd, and after all the buildup, nothing meaningful is revealed, a clear sign that the whole premise is flawed. #books
