Interesting.
The idea of a physical place having/birthing ‘culture’ was well on its way out post-GFC, and COVID signed the death warrant. Culture is placeless and online now. Geography is mostly airspace. Cultural production (as historically understood) is not what thriving cities do anymore.

Because the beautiful world we all enjoy is built on credit cycles, everything will blow up every once in a while, but that doesn’t make anything ridiculous. It’s ridiculous to pretend that boom and expansion isn’t real just because it will contract again.
