Sometimes a client will ask a question and we will find out that our wonderful clients have already provided the answer! Case in point: yes, you can combine the @4Dcell confiner with micropatterns 🤩
We've added important new data to our recent pre-print (biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…). While cells in confinement without INF2 firmly adhere to the micropattern, cells with INF2 will cross over the micropatterns using fast amoeboid (leader bleb-based) migration:

Beautiful work Shiraishi et al! They show that alveolar cells plated on 10 um upatterns don't spread and retain their AT2 differentiation, unlike cells plated on larger upatterns. Actin accumulation around the nucleus and yap/taz localization also depend on upattern size🤩
