State of .ai opinion update: I thought this Sherpa episode gave a great balanced take with none of the Sherpas imposing strong personal agendas: domainsherpa.com/dsr06122025… A lot of people have been vocal to call this (right now, I guess) as the top of the .ai run. I have seen a lot of bubbles and amassed a bunch of battle scars in my time, but I think this one is a little different. Funding is definitely a key part of this, as is constantly mentioned, but AI is so transformational and fundamental, companies would often rather be associated with the fresher generational image of a .ai over a .com, especially when the price (if both SLDs happen to be available) is around 1/10th (.ai versus .com). As the .ai TLD becomes more established, it becomes a more attractive proposition to brand on it, and it's constantly rising. I am one of the biggest .com purists around and am surprised too that I am so bullish on an alt like .ai. Most of the company's assets are in .com. I think there's a great future ahead for the RIGHT .ai domains, so try to talk to experts or watch the data to have a shot at a 10 x or whatever multiple you aim for. The real money is still in .com (for the biggest and best) but there's a lot of excitement and volume in .ai, and still many opportunities for savvy scalpers. G'luck!
