As from January 2nd Electric vehicles will have to pay the London congestion charge, and we thought it was all bout making the air cleaner. Now we find out itโ€™s all about getting more money from the motorist. What a surprise !!!

West Midlands Fire Service have technical rescue vehicles based at Sutton Coldfield, a Volvo FL & a Iveco Daily. They can deal with many rescue incidents including water, animal, rope & bariatric rescues. Many thanks to the wonderful crew for moving them out plus the tour!! ๐Ÿš’

London Fire Brigade - Biggin Hill This Iveco Daily 4x4 is a unique vehicle for LFB. It is needed for the local conditions, itโ€™s main role is to deal with wildfires but can be sent to almost anything. Many thanks to the firefighter for moving it out for me!! ๐Ÿš’

Recently visited the Metropolitan police museum for a garage tour. The vehicles are in a fantastic condition and well looked after by the team. My personal favourite was the Land Rover Defender Series 3 which was used for traffic patrol. Thank you so much to John!!

Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service have three new vehicles which can be run on HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) They are also going for a clean cab concept which sees firefighters kit stored in lockers rather than the cab after incidents which will help reduce contamination.
