NEWS MAY MARKS BREAKOUT MONTH FOR CARDANO ECOSYSTEM 😱😱😱 Cardano Foundation reports that May was one of the network’s most active months to date. Key highlights include regulated ADA futures launching on CME Group, a three-year partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee, and 20 simultaneous governance actions across the ecosystem. The network is also preparing for an upcoming hard fork as development activity continues to accelerate, with the Foundation noting growing institutional momentum for Cardano.

$ADA is now included in the new @Nasdaq and @CMEGroup crypto index futures, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other market leaders. The Cardano ecosystem keeps maturing, and Wall Street is noticing.

How does Cardano work? What is its consensus mechanism? @Cardano uses a uniquely energy-efficient, peer-reviewed Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Ouroboros. Instead of relying on energy-intensive mining hardware, Ouroboros selects validators (known as slot leaders) to create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency (ADA) they hold and stake in the network. Waves Studio, a design company, and I were discussing how there aren't many short, informative videos out there explaining basic concepts for new users anymore. Many people compare Zcash and Midnight because both use advanced cryptography and privacy technologies. But they are solving very different problems. 🛡️ Zcash = Private Money 🌙 Midnight = Private Applications Let's break it down. Zcash was built to answer a simple question: "How can people send money privately?" Using zk-SNARKs, Zcash can hide: ✅ Sender ✅ Receiver ✅ Transaction Amount This makes it one of the most advanced privacy payment systems ever created. Midnight asks a much bigger question: "How can we build an entire digital economy where privacy is programmable?" Not just payments. Everything. 👤 Identity 🤖 AI Agents 🏥 Healthcare 🏦 Finance 📄 Documents 🏢 Enterprise Data Think of it this way: Zcash protects transactions. Midnight protects data. That's a huge difference. Most blockchain data today is completely public. Midnight was designed to change that. The recent Zcash vulnerability highlighted one of the challenges privacy chains face. When data is hidden, proving that a bug was never exploited becomes difficult. Even if a flaw is patched quickly, uncertainty can impact confidence. Privacy is powerful. But privacy also creates new design challenges. Midnight approaches privacy differently. Its core philosophy is: 🔒 Protect data 👁️ Reveal only what's necessary This concept is called Selective Disclosure. You can prove information without exposing everything. For example: Instead of revealing your full identity... You could prove: ✅ Over 18 ✅ Licensed Professional ✅ Accredited Investor ✅ Authorized Employee Without exposing your personal information. That's where privacy becomes useful beyond payments. This is especially important for businesses. Most companies cannot place sensitive information on public blockchains. Customer records. Medical records. Trade secrets. Financial data. Midnight aims to make blockchain usable for these industries. Where things get really interesting: 🤖 AI The future won't just be humans using blockchains. It will be autonomous agents. AI systems buying, selling, negotiating, and interacting on our behalf. Imagine an AI agent: ✅ Proving its permissions ✅ Accessing confidential data ✅ Executing contracts ✅ Making payments Without exposing private information publicly. That's a massive opportunity. This is where concepts like "Midnight City" become interesting. A future ecosystem where: 🏢 Businesses 🤖 AI Agents 👤 Users 🔐 Digital Identities Can interact privately while remaining verifiable. To be clear: Zcash deserves enormous credit. Its research, cryptography, and privacy innovations helped push the entire industry forward. Cardano DEX volume is up 217.77% over the last 7 days, with weekly volume now sitting at $35.4m. Cardano perps volume is also up 29.66% over the same period, reaching $11.62m in 7 day volume. Real usage. Real settlement. Real liquidity, and increasing activity, all happening on Cardano.

A terrifying fact that needs to be repeated day after day, and one that should raise serious questions. All the #Cardano FUDers and creators pushing negative narratives work with the same crypto PR and marketing agency, where Coin Bureau is a co-owner. This is a fact, and everyone needs to know it. JUST IN: 🔥 Cardano $ADA got mentioned on the main Olympic Games website. This comes after the Cardano Foundation signed a three-year partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee They'll work together to bring public blockchain, IoT, and AI to Olympic sport.

I came to Cardano because of the 2017 whiteboard video. This video is more powerful than that one, because it is clear on why we need blockchains at all. The reason I’m here isn’t cheaper transactions, it’s for the “trust-full” society which blockchains enable.
