Wondering how Class Members will receive compensation? If you’re eligible for compensation, the Administrator will send you a letter to confirm your eligibility along with a Compensation Payment Form. You’ll need to complete the form to say how you would like to receive payment and send it back to the Administrator. Payment can be sent through direct deposit or by mailed cheque. The choice is yours. If you would like the payment to be deposited directly into your bank account, the account must be active and in your name. The Administrator will process your payment as soon as possible after receiving your form. Learn more: rebrand.ly/S130E.

The agreement includes providing nearly $150 million over five years to Peerless Trout, Loon Lake and Lubicon First Nations from the federal government, helping to bring their children home and affirm their inherent right to self determination over their children and families.

Peguis’ ‘Honouring our Children, Families and Nation Act’ will take full effect and rightly put them in the driver’s seat. It means Peguis Child and Family Services will have the tools and resources they need to keep children and families together.

Great day. Honoured to attend and support this milestone
Today was a historic day for Peguis First Nation. Peguis, Canada, and Manitoba signed the first Indigenous child and family services coordination agreement in Manitoba, and the third in the country.

Thinking of all those brave Indigenous veterans who fought and sacrificed for the benefit of all Canadians and our allies. #IndigenousVeteransDay

On #IndigenousVeteransDay we remember #FirstNations veterans who bravely served. Though many were awarded medals for bravery and gallantry, the reception awaiting those who were able to return home was not the same as non-Indigenous veterans.
