The New York Times confirmed that a Precision Strike Missile, a weapon that only finished prototype testing last year, struck a sports hall and elementary school in Lamerd on the first day of the war. At least 21 people were killed, including two schoolgirls, ages 10 and 11, and their volleyball coach. The PrSM is designed to detonate mid-air and blast tungsten pellets outward.
