Empowering Youth Through Skills Training: Meet Tippesha and Vittal, National Toppers and graduates of APD’s IDRR training programmes! Tippesha (23) and Vittal (21), from modest backgrounds in #Karnataka, have transformed their lives with APD’s skill courses. Tippesha excelled in the Care Giving Course, and Vittal in Rehabilitation Therapy, both honoured by union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar on 1st October 2024 at an event in New Delhi. A Heartwarming Visit by CBA Leadership to APD On 22nd October, APD’s Lingarajapuram campus welcomed senior leaders from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, including Amo Tauialo (Group Auditor) and his team. They toured our facilities, including the Assistive Adaptive Technology and Early Intervention units, and spent time with children at Shradhanjali Integrated School. Amo delighted the kids with a storytelling session, reading Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We are immensely grateful to CBA for their continued support in our Early Intervention and Livelihood initiatives. A group of 13 volunteers visited The Centre for Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation and Research at  Jeevan Bima Nagar Campus starting with a center orientation followed by wheelchair sports and interactions with beneficiaries. This immersive experience offered them a unique perspective on the challenges faced by people with spinal cord injuries. APD observed Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Day in Kolar with a rally, inspiring performances, and vital discussions on improving support for spinal injury survivors.
