🌍 Yesterday in #London, the WJC participated in a joint briefing to the @APPGIntlCons & @APPGAntiCorrupt at the UK Parliament, exploring the intersection of environmental crime and corruption. The briefing “How Dirty Money is Destroying the Planet”, was convened by @BarryGardiner and @josephpowell and explored the intersection of environmental crime and corruption, and actions to be taken. As chair of the @uncaccoalition Working Group on Environmental Crime and Corruption, we stressed the urgency of tackling #corruption that fuels crimes that affect the environment (CAE) - including #wildlifetrafficking – and its impacts on climate mitigation and adaption efforts.
