Nine years after the Grenfell Tower Fire we remember the 72 people who lost their lives, and stand with solidarity and love for the bereaved, survivors and our community in North Kensington. Truth, Justice and Change has been far too slow, but together we will make it happen.

Nine years on from the Grenfell tragedy, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives and hold their families, loved ones and the entire community in our thoughts. We stand with you and are committed to ensuring this never happens again and that those responsible are held to account.

The World Cup starts tonight! ⚽️ But by the end of the first match, we’ll be one man down. Someone dies by suicide in our country every 90 minutes. Three-quarters of these are men. I spoke with Luke the co-founder of @andysmanclubuk about male suicide, mental health and the help that is out there. 👇 Andy's Man Club is an incredible organisation that helps men across Britain open up, talk about what is going on in their lives, and help one another. I have been to sessions in my constituency and was overwhelmed by the support they can offer men dealing with all sorts of problems in their lives - small or large. In each session, a football is passed around the group to share thoughts, challenges, and successes. Simple, but effective and liberating! As a government, we take mental heath - and men's mental health - seriously. We published England’s first Men's Health Strategy last year, which committed further funding for suicide prevention programmes, recognising that suicide is one of the biggest killer of men under 50. We are investing £3.6 million in community based suicide prevention projects - and supporting the @premierleague Together Against Suicide initiative with @samaritans. And this is a challenge for all of us, not just government. As a society we can do more to encourage men to open up, get the weight off their shoulders. That is a key part of our Men and Boys work led by @DavidLammy - amplifying the issues, assuring folk there is help out there. Enjoy the football, look out for one another, and know there is support out there!

Well done @MatthewStadlen for calling out this nonsense.
Quite possibly the most extraordinary exchange I’ve ever been involved in on TV.

It was an honour to celebrate one year of the UK-Morocco Enhanced Strategic Partnership in Parliament this week with @HFalconerMP, His Excellency @AmbHHajoui, @ChelFulhamBen and many others. Britain and Morocco have a long history of friendship and partnership, and it is getting stronger. I invited everyone to watch Brazil v Morocco tomorrow night in North Kensington... @MOROCCOinUK

There is no doubt that under Kemi Badenoch the Tories would back a Reform-led government after the next election if no party achieved a majority. I know fortunately many centre-ground voters will do everything they can to stop Nigel Farage becoming Prime Minister.
Extraordinary nugget in @ShippersUnbound’s excellent interview with Kemi Badenoch. Asked directly if she’d put Farage into No.10 if he fell short of a majority, she made clear the answer is yes. Seems very politically naive in both directions. Voters on the right now have one fewer reason to back the Tories over Reform. And in London and Lib Dem swings seats, the anti reform coalition just got a gift: “Vote Tory, get Farage.” No real upside to announcing this two years before polling day. Fascinated to see how CCHQ handle the follow ups….

Lime leg injuries, anti-social parking and pavement riding are all too common. One constituent has faced multiple surgeries after a hit and run from a child on a hacked Lime bike. As a cyclist myself I support more safer cycling in London - but it can't be right Lime make huge profits for venture capitalists in California, while the NHS and our local council pick up the costs. I'm delighted our campaign for better regulation took a big step forward today, with the Government confirming new licensing arrangements for London will come in in the next few months to fix this mess. It can't come soon enough.

Fantastic to join @LauraHAllain MBE for the launch of her new book Maya & Marley and the New Friend in Portobello Square 📚 In the National Year of Reading, it’s never been more important to inspire a love of books in every child (and perhaps all commit to a little less screen time too...)

A wonderful visit to the Supplementary Schools Exhibition in North Kensington recently with Councillors Abdullahi Nur and Nadia Nail. We are so lucky to have such a diverse community of passionate educators in Kensington & Bayswater. The role of Supplementary Schools play a vital role in supporting our children and young people - from after school clubs, language classes and tuition groups. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making the event happen and for all your hard work supporting our community.

The tax lawyer Dan Neidle recently found that the ultimate owners of 45,000 properties worth an estimated £190 billion are still hidden from public view. I want London to remain open to investment, but at a bare minimum we should have full transparency over who owns what. It’s over two years since the consultation on policy options closed. It’s time to take bold action.

What is Nigel Farage not telling us about his £5m “gift”? I spoke to Danny Finkelstein on Times Radio earlier today about the many unanswered questions surrounding Christopher Harborne’s generous “gift” to the Reform leader. It’s time for him to come clean.

Residents on the Lancaster West estate surrounding Grenfell were promised change after the fire, with a commitment of a model 21st century housing estate. Nine years later, progress has been painfully slow - so I'm glad the Government is stepping in with an additional ÂŁ8M to ensure there are no further delays. But just as important as the funding, is the commitment to additional scrutiny outside of RBKC. I agree with residents who want more transparency over the refurbishment, and I look forward to working with them to ensure RBKC are properly held to account.

I’m pleased this additional investment has been secured from the Government - it’s vital the Lancaster West residents do not suffer further delays. But just as important is the additional scrutiny that will come with the money. It’s essential trust and transparency is restored with residents - and I’ll keep holding RBKC to account for that, now alongside additional external support from the government too.
This Sunday marks 9 years since the Grenfell Tower fire. Residents on the surrounding estate are still “living on a building site” with some suffering from PTSD Local mp @josephpowell has spoken to me after Housing Secretary @SteveReedMP put up £8m to get refurbishment works over the line inews.co.uk/news/we-watched-…

Had a great time at the @bloomsburyftbl half term club last week. I grew up playing football at the Westway and it was great to see the talent of the future in action (and maybe even a future QPR player or two!)

We urgently need a new St Mary's Hospital, and I'm pleased that this government has committed £50 million to get the project back on track. The next phase of the consultation is open, and now's your chance to have your say on the design 👇🏻 imperial.nhs.uk/st-marys-dev… You have until 17 July to make your voice heard, and I'd encourage as many people as possible to take part.
