Call to Action: 🚨
Demand Accountability for
Riverside Bridge Home Shelter
Councilmember Raman allocated $42K in public funds to an organization she founded (SELAH) through a no-bid contract under the pretense of an Ambassador Program to improve safety at the Riverside Bridge Home shelter.
However, the program never materialized.
The shelter’s lease renewal depended on a functional Ambassador Program and a report from the City’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)—which revealed less than 8% of residents were housed, far below city targets.
Residents report worsening mental health, drug use, and poor conditions with no clear exit strategy.
📢 TAKE ACTION! : 📢
Join us at El Sereno Rec Center (4721 Klamath St.) on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 9 AM to urge the Rec & Parks Commission Board to:
✅ Demand Councilmember Raman house all shelter residents (who have been there over a year)
✅ Reject the shelter lease renewal in May 2025, as the Ambassador Program failed and the shelter is not meeting city standards
Show up. Speak out. Hold leadership accountable.
