The Night God Wrote Judgment on the Palace Wall โ๏ธ๐ฑ
Why did a mysterious hand suddenly write on the palace wall?
King Belshazzar threw a huge feast for a thousand of his nobles. In his arrogance, he ordered the sacred gold and silver cups taken from Godโs temple in Jerusalem. They drank wine from the holy vessels and toasted their pagan gods of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.
Then, out of nowhere, fingers appeared and began writing on the plaster wall. The kingโs face turned pale. His knees knocked together in terror, and he cried out for his wise men and astrologers. But none of them could read or interpret the writing.
Finally, they brought in Daniel, the servant of the Most High God. He looked at the wall and boldly declared:
โMene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin.โ
God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.
Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
That very night, Belshazzar was slain, and the Medo-Persian army took the kingdomโjust as God had written.
When you mock what is sacred, judgment doesnโt always send a warningโฆ it writes itself on your wall.
But if you fear the Lord and honor what is holy, type AMEN and declare: โI will honor You, Lord!โ ๐
