I already re-posted this, but it keeps grating on me.
This is the US saying *explicitly*:
"We don't care what the rules say in the trade agreement we signed with Canada and Mexico. We will do what we see as beneficial for us."
Hard to see how this takes us to a good place.
It has been 538 days since the USMCA panel report on auto RoOs was made public, with a finding against the United States.
This week, USTR finally admitted that it has no intention to ever comply.
