For those wondering, yes. I will be doing my yearly UDFA tracker. We've got another 3 or so hours to go, but here's the link. #Bearsdocs.google.com/spreadsheets…
Per #Bears website (chicagobears.com/team/front-…):
--Jeff Shiver promoted to Sr. Executive Scout
--Andrea Wright new Football Administration & Analytics Manager (formerly coordinator)
--Trey Koziol promoted to Sr. Dir of Player Personnel
--Breck Ackley promoted to Dir or Player Personnel
Shiver (pictured w/former Bears scout John Paul Young) was the first-ever winner of the CO Brocato Memorial Award in 2020.
Trade news: The Philadelphia Phillies are acquiring center fielder Derek Hill and international bonus money from the Chicago White Sox for outfield prospect Dylan Campbell and infield prospect Jose Colmenares, sources tell ESPN.
#Bears wrapped up minicamp with a very light practice. I didn’t see Coby Bryant out there today.
Best play was Caleb Williams delivering a really nice ball to Luther Burden for about 40 yards. Probably would have scored in a real game.
Burden was celebrating in the end zone while Williams was yelling for him to line up and spike it. Some leadership by the QB.
Tyson Bagent was picked off in 11 on 11 near the end.
#Bears just wrapped up minicamp and the offseason program. Big day for K Cairo Santos. Nailed a 60-yarder thru a cross wind in a late game situation. That was after connecting from 58. I had him 6-for-6 on the day. Snap on the 60-yarder? Low. Didn’t see the snapper.
Eagles signed former Bills DE A.J. Epenesa.
Epenesa originally was Buffalo’s 2020 second-round pick. He planned to sign with the Browns in March, but didn’t pass his physical. Now he lands in Philadelphia.
Montez Sweat when asked what made the difference in 2025 for the Bears: “Ben.”
Sweat adds that “everything was really about winning. If it wasn’t about winning it was nonexistent.”🔥
Cool insight from Cole Kmet here on Ben Johnson during his interview with Stacy Dales on NFL network.
Ben Johnson does ALL the run game install. Cole has never seen a HC do that and neither have I. People think Ben’s identity is the fun plays and throwing the ball but it’s really physicality and details in the run game.
Ben’s rushing offenses have ranked 11th, 5th, 6th, and 3rd in rushing YPG over the last 4 years. That’s not a one-year fluke that’s an identity. #Bears#DaBears#ChicagoBears
