Awful to see the impact in Australia of antisemitic terrorism at what should be a time of joy. I know there are many in our community who have been worried by what has happened and the police and CST have been working hard to provide reassurance.
Chanukah should be a time of celebration and joy. The news that the Bondi beach attack was an antisemitic terrorist attack against Jewish families at a Chanukah event is sickening. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. The United Kingdom will always stand with Australia and the Jewish community. We are actively working with the @CST_UK on the policing of Chanukah events.

Important from Sadiq about the racism he experienced growing up. The shocking thing is that the social taboos against this kind of racism are being eroded again, including by this platform.

Racist abuse is never 'banter.' It’s racist abuse. I was on the receiving end growing up. It has a deep, lasting impact. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Vote Tory in Westminster; get Reform. The second Westminster Conservative defection in recent months to Reform. Given how right wing some of the current Tory candidates are who else might make the jump particularly after the election in May?

Cllr Alan Mendoza of Henry Jackson Society fame has today defected to Reform UK to advise the party on foreign policy and geopolitics. Farage: “I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to shape our policy platform in the months and years ahead.”

The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response. Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.

Jenrick, Philp and Lam- fuelling the fires of racism over recent week. This increasingly extreme Tory party wants to deport our friends and neighbours and now seems fine with calls for fewer black people on TV… a far cry from being a one nation centre-right party of government.
Watch Chris Philp(Tory MP) refuse to say if Sarah Pochin's comments were racist. Chris Philp: "i'm not going to call her that word... I'm not calling her racist..." #bbclaurak

Our well developed plans give the GLA the platform to move ahead and deliver a scheme for the East (now funded by them) that meets the needs of business and visitors, whilst supporting bus users and providing reassurance to residents & businesses in Fitzrovia and Soho.

This is absolutely disgraceful. The increasingly extreme Tories are heading down a dark path. Westminster has always been a place of arrival & our area has been richer for it, people becoming part of our communities-diversity combined with a common core that holds people together
Here @Katie_Lam_MP tells @joshglancy of Sunday Times she wants to remove many legal migrants who came under the rules (including many pre-2019 arrivals already granted permanent status) so she can aim to retain "a mostly but not entirely culturally coherent group of people"

Cranks like Katie Lam don’t get to define what our culture should be or which of our friends and neighbours should be deported because they don’t fit with in her fever dream of what the Tories think our community should be.
